Christmas

Wow I can't belive 2009 is just a couple days away. This year has flown by. I graduated college, was pregnant for more than haf the year, we had an amazing child, lots of medical problems and bills, a kitty surgery, and lots of laughs and loves from eachother and our families. Thanks to everyone for the great year. We spent Christmas eve at our house with Garrett's syblings, we were fortunate enough to have Garrett's parents and his youngest sybling marshall on the webcam. We took a couple hours and opened up presents and spent time with eachother. the boys got a lot of gun stuff and were supper excited. Kamron got a nebraska jersey and a couple toys. Then we packed up our presents and headed to my parents house where we spent the night in preperation for christmas morning. I am very fortunate and I hav e ababy who sleeps very well. My mom and I had to wake him up at about 9 on Christmas morning. over all the paper, bows, and boxes where Kam's favorite. but after they where gone he played with his toys and many outfits. He is doing so good sitting up he can bend over to pick up toys and go back to sitting up with no problems. He still hates being on his bell, so tummy time is like 15 minutes of whyning. He has also discovered he has a loud voice so he just sits there and screams for very long periods of time. He's just getting so big!!

5 Months

Today is Kamron's five month mark!! It has seriously been the best five months. we are so blessed with a very happy and healthy baby. He is so good-natured and very loving. I am very lucky to be at home with him andwatch him grow. He is doing so much now. We bought him a walker wich he loves (as do we, its like an hour break at a time from holding/entertianting him). It only took him about 5 minutes to figure out how to get around in it. He now chases the dog around the house. On Saturday he started doing this thing where he sucks his bottom lip in and hums. I think the vibration feels good on his gums, which are bothering him. He is so strong and loves to stand up . He loves the dog!! He will sit there and laugh at the dog forever. He tries to grab onto him and when he does he wont let go. Kamron is doing really well sitting up the last week. He does really well if he has a toy infront of him. But he is still wobbly and he only sits for a minute or two at a time. Crawling on the other hand is comming a little slower. He really hates being on his stomach so we just try a few minutes here and there throughout the day. He will scoot a little bit and its usually backwards. he does go in circle though.!!

Kamron cruzin' (and his hair is growing)

Kamron chowing down on some carrots! They're like his favorite. he really likes sweet potatos too.

Photo Opp!!!

See the resemblence??

Beautiful Blessings Vs. Little Crap

I am a little grouchy today. It just seems like since August everything bad has happened to me, and my family. Now I know there are much worse things that could happen and thankfully havent. Well, I just know I am a really blessed individual so despite everything I just want to really focus on the good things in life for moment. Hopefully it will put the crappy things in perspective!

So here it goes BLESSINGS VS. CRAP
In the right corner: Beautiful Blessings
- My son, Oh what and amazing spirit, and his laugh oh my there is no drug more addicting. he is
literally my world. I love him so much!!
- my husband, what a rock. he's so patient and so hard working
- my mom, she's always there for me. even the stupid questions (can I melt chocolate chips in
microwave)
- my dad, he's always there for the hard work that Garrett can't get to cause he works 24/7
- My inlaws, alwyads loving and supportive
- my sister who indures more than most
-my brothers, who are always good for a laugh and or a reality check
- my house. I know its not huge or fancy but its my home and it's filled with love. we've made it
what we wanted it to be
- my degree. I worked hard and I accomplished something important to me and my family
- gas prices, I'm sure everyone is
- my savior. and what he has done for me. For he has carried a much larger burden than me.
- my health. I'll probably live till i'm 105
- Modern-day revelation
- the church. I love the true gospel. I am who I am because of it.
- my severance package. I can be a stay at home mom. Even if its only temporary
- spending every day with Kamron
- the temple. how peaceful. how beautiful. how meaningful.
- christmas. The true meaning of Christmas.
- My experiences which will someday make me a strong individual.

In the left corner: Little Crap...
- my car. the brakes. the tires. the air conditioner. the fuel injector I've had it since I was in highschool need I say more

- stupid doctor who messed up my son's circumsision. which is outwhieghed by having my
wonderful son. but still he should pay for his mistake
- getting laid off. which it was outwieghed by getting to stay at home
- stupid dog. between the barking and the jealous peeing he's about to find a new home
- the cat who is so very sick and has puked all over my freshly shampood carpets
- BILLS
- stepping on a piece of glass
- laundry
- never feeling like we have enough money ( even though we always do)
- My husband working non-stop
- Having no cable/satalite

And the winner is..... Beautiful Blessings!!!!! YEAH!! I knew if i just wrote it out I would see the difference. Not just in quality but I actually couldn't think of any more crappy things and I could have kept going on the blessings. I know I am pittying (sp) myself but I just have had a rough few months. Thanks for letting me vent. I know that I am a pretty lucky lady with a really great fam who loves me and supports me. Thanks to everyone who has ever been there for me.

The week in review

I had such a great week staying at home with Kamron. He is so fun to be with. I love it. I didn't get very much accomplished besides playing. I did, however, get my wreath for my front made. I really like it I think it turned out really good considering a craft-challanged person made it. I also made a garland for the fireplace but I will post pictures of it when I get the stockings finished which i hope to do today.

The wreath cost me 7$ and tha included the wreath hanger. I bought all the stuff at the dollar store. We are trying to stick to a tighter budget. When my darling husband got home he said it looks like it cost 70$. THANKS HONEY!

Garrett's boss and uncle, Lance, had gotten a ballon for his b-day and sent it home with Garrett for Kamron. I was thinking that Kam was way to little to play with a ballon, boy was I wrong

We had botten Kam a toy for christmas but after seeing his reaction to it in the box, we decided to give it to him early. We hope it'll help him crawl since that's what it is made for. We are really concerned that Kamron is going to walk before he crawls and that is bad for babies mental development. He just loves to stand all the time and hates being on his tummy. (please excuse the boxes everywhere we had just pulled out all the x-mas decorations from them)

see thanksgiving post below...

Thanksgiving and weekend

We had a great thanksgiving my two brothers and I met up at my parents house. My older older brother only ended up brining 3 out the 9 kids and my sister wasn't able to make it so it ended up being just a few of us. However, we still had fun. After we had stuffed ourselves to the max we all played games like twister and cranium. Kamron was so entertianed just by watching all the comotion. Then on the Sunday after we went to visit my sister in twin because her b-day is on the 2nd. Here are a few pics!

Kam watching everyone and everything

twister: I'm suprised the adults were more willing to play than the kids

my sisters house

The b-day cake was made by Kathy and it was a turtle cake.....soo yummy!

All in all it was a great week to spend with family. We missed Garrett's family very much and were sad we couldn't be with them too.

1st Day on the NEW job

Today was my first day on my new job, well, sort of. And I lovcd it!! I am so blessed I get to stay at home with Kamron, even if it's only temporary. We didn't do much today because I started out the day going to the dentist to get a crown redone and the dentist ended up having to cut down my gums (yup it's as painfull as it sounds)!

The funny thing about me staying at home is I feel overhelmed with all the things I want to do. I know I am home all day long but Kamron does take up most of the day becuase he loves to play and be entertained. Somedays he barley takes a nap.

Things I want to do
- get a library card and read a book for fun... no more text books
- paint the basement
- make christmas stockings for Garrett, Kamron, and Me
- Paint my desk
-make a couple wall decorations
- make a christmas wreath
- finish all the little things in my kitchen that we didn't do when we remodeled (sealing the tile ect)
-put up christmas lights outside
-wrap christmas presents
-And on and on

For now I am just taking every day and enjoying spending time with my wonderful son!!

Four Month Check Up

Yup its been four crazy, hectic, perfect months!! Kamron had his four month check up on Thursday and here are the results.

--Weight- off the charts at 18 lbs and 10 oz

-- Height- 25 1/2 inches, in the 97th percentile

--head circumfrence- 17inches, in the 75th percentile

-- 3 nasty shots

-- his first fever

-- lots of sleeping

But over all a very healthy big boy. AKA Grandpa's Macho boy!!

(on Saturday Garrett and I decided to rearrage our bedroom. we put Kamron on the bed so we could move the bed and he quickly fell asleep. after that we needed to change the sheets and Kamron wasn't feeling good and since he was finally asleep I just picked him up in the comfortor and put him on the couch in the living room. When we were done putting the sheets on I went into the living room to check on Kam, who was still sleeping, and looking mighty cute, so I went to grab the camera and take a pic, and of course as soon as I snapped the pic he woke up. This kid has a sixth sence for cameras and camecorders.)The result...

Oh how the time goes by

It's been a while since our last update. We have just been so busy with work than when we are at home we spend every minute soaking up our son's incredable spirit!! Oh he is just the best thing in the world. since our last post Halloween came and gone. We dressed Kamron up as a monkey and just had dinner at our house with Garretts syblings and watched a movie. It was laxed. We lost our babysitter at the begining of November, is was just to much for her. So we were franticaly searching for a new one. I prayed about it and within the next three days I got news that I was going to be laid off of my job at the end of this month. That sucks!! Citigroup has laid off approximatley 73,000 people in the last couple weeks (for those who haven't seen it on tv. The good news is it was a blessing in discuise (sp?) because I will be able to stay home with Kamron for the next six or so months! YAYYY!! Prayers are never answered the way we think they should be. Other than that Garrett is working mad hours and I am trying to finish my month strong to show them that I am worth something if a position ever opens back up.

Kam's cute coustume

This is Kamron's Baby Einstien "Beethtoven" dvd and his reaction to it!!

Garrett's parent's where in town the first week of November. We all got together and had a thanksgiving dinner with them, since they wont be here at Thanksgiving. We finally got Uncle Morgan to hold Kam. However, we had to basically drop him on his lap and run!

Did I mention Kamron has a serious drinking problem?!? I got my son addicted to RootBeer. Ops! My bad. At least it's caffinee free though!

Overall its been a great month!! A little crazy but really good

The CUTTEST thing EVER

So I told everyone that Kamron has developed the cutest laugh, and I mean a real laugh. well we finally caught it on tape and i finally found time to post it! With out any further adou....

I also decided that he might like some real food so I gave him some rice cereal. I'm not sure he's in love with the idea but he at least eats part of what I fix.

I bought this really cute church outfit on our shopping spree in SLC for 7$ yup thats right7$ no typos here

Kamron thinks he is a very big boy and thinks he can sit up. He no longer loves to lay down all he wants to do is sit up. This can be very exhausting for anyone around him becuase you have to hold him up. Thankfully we own a boppy!!

Our friends Brittany and her Daughter Andie came to visit about a week ago. Here Kamron and Andie side by side. Now may I remind you she is only a couple hours OLDER than Kam. My kid is huge... basically he's a tank and weighing approximatly 17 and 1/2 lbs.

Not only is he big but he thinks he's pretty old too. He ha developed a little bit of a rash around his mouth. I'm not sure if it's a teething rash or a rash from all his drool (which can also be a sign of teething)from blowing bubble and sucking his fingers and thumb (which I hoped so desperatly he's never do.. but it is kinda cute). Oh my goodness I sure hope he's not teething this early.

MOV'n Along (Long)

Things have been going good this last week. I'm feeling more comfortable at my job. Garrett is busy at BenchCreft and Kam is growing by leaps and bounds. Over the weekend we went to my brothers wedding in Sun Valley.

(Here is the lucky bride working hard to set up the wedding! it turned out beautiful !! Congrats you two love birds!)

(when night fell it looked like a fairy tale!! It was Beautiful Kathy and James)

(Dad and Kam had some one on one time!)

While there Kamron almost rolled over. He also picked up a high pitched squel. I think he learned it from one of my neices or nephews.

We then went to SLC for Kamron's check up. everything looks good and it will just be a couple more months untill the rest of the swelling goes down. We went shopping to get Kam some winter clothes and spent $200. i'M A BARGIN SHOPPER so thats a lot of clothes. They hardley fit into his dresser. On monday during my lunch break Kam had his first real laugh, like belly laugh, we keep trying to get it recorded but he is camera shy. He has also figured out how to put things into his mouth!

This is Kam's new toy, he's not quite sure what to think of it yet!!

Sorry this is a long post We just had such a BIG week!!!

It's been a couple weeks

Sorry Grandma and Grandpa L... we have been meaning to get some posts up and life has just kept us so busy the last couple weeks. Kamron is doing so good. He has the best personality ever. We are so blessed to have such a happy and well-behaived baby. I love my new job but hate the extra hours I spend away from Kamron. He is growing so much and I feel like everytime I come home from work he has had a growth spurt. Last night we went up Scout Mountian and has a weinnie roast and Kamron Loved it even though it cooled off when it got dark. When we went to put him in the car he started crying because he loves being outside so much.

Kamron LOVES his bath time. I think I get more wet than he does. I have gotten in the habit of putting shorts and a t-shirt on or what I am wearing gets soaked. It is a great nightly ritual we have created so that we can bond after I have been at work all day.

Kamron "THINKS" that he is a big boy and he can sit up all by himself. The funny thing is he is still working on his wobbly head and is now trying to sit up. He is so stinking cute!

Kamron is now grasping onto things, although it is hit or miss. He sometimes will graps and hold onto his rattle for like ten minutes and other times as soon as he gets a grasp he'll drop it. I'm not sur eif he knows he's the one that is making the rattle make noise though.

2 Month Check Up and More

Kamron had his 2 month checkup on Tuesday. We have a healthy baby! He was 14lbs and 8 oz. he was 24 and 1/4" long and his head was 16". He is in the 97 percentile for weight and 75th for height. He had his first round of immunizations and took them very well. he didn't act bothered by them at all. This weekend we went over to my parents house to make and can salsa.

While my mom and I made Salsa and Garrett did some re-stringing for work, Kamron remianed very entertained.

First him and Papa made faces at eachother. I think the Papa is pretty wrapped around his finger.Then...

He took a nap outside on the swing. Then. . .

His Uncle Joe and Aunt Natalie came and entertained him. All in all he had a very eventful day. And the salsa turned out great.

Other than that we have all been staying busy. I accepted a job at Citi Financial which I start on Friday the 26th. I hope that I really like this job becuase it has great potential. I am nervouse to leave Samuels because I am so comfortable there. However, I think that it will be good for me to start something new!!

Eight weeks

Kamron is eight weeks old today. He is developing his own personality and it is so fun to be around him. He got to try popsicles last night for the first time (shame on his parents) and he loved loved loved them!!!! As of last thursday he is 13lbs and 5 oz and almost 24 inches long. He is now wearing 3-6 month old clothes and some of those are getting a little tight. He is so big! Here are a couple short videos. one with a popsicle and one just hanging out with mom and dad on Dad's lunch break!!

post surgery

Kamron is doing so good! On Thursday we went down to Salt Lake City and Kamron had his surgery. everything went well. It took a little longer than expected (two hours instead of one) and Dr. Devries ended up having to do a skin graft because the stupid doctor took out too much initially. Kamoron was in a little pain at first but by the time we got home thursday evening he seemed to be feeling much better. He was on medications for a few days and that was it. On a much lighter note he has been mostly smiles the last couple days. He really enjoyed his first real bath since surgery, last night. This kid loves bath time. I just know it will belike pulling teeth to get him out when he is older.

Just an update

Well my time is up (well my seven weeks of vacation anyway)! I go back to work tomorrow and I am heartbroken about leaving Kamron. Thankfully my first day back Garrett will have him. Other than that my cousin, Mandy, will watch him and Grandma Gale will have him one night a week. I cannot believe I have to leave him. To put it simply THIS SUCKS!!!!! In a perfect world all moms could stay at home with thier children and not have to worry about enough money comming in.
Kamron will be be undergoing surgery in Salt Lake on Thursday. He will be getting his circumsision revised. We still don't know if it was a fluke or if the doctor messed it up. We do know however that they ignored us when we tried to tell them it was adhearing to itself. Who would have known such a simple prosedure would turn out to be such a mess.
Thanks to everyone who has kept him in their prayers and we would deeply appreciate it if you all would continue to do so. We love you all

So He Finally Found His Fist

So Kamron finally discovered his fist. It is the cutest thing to watch him try and get the fist in his mouth. He is still really wobely with his movements. Once he gets it in his mouth he sure does go to town!!!!

Blessing

Recieving a baby blessing is one of the biggest days in Kamron's life. He may not remember it but it is very special. We Blessed him today, August 24, 2008. Garrett gave him the blessing... it was very sweet. Grandpa christensen, Casey Oliver, Lance Buttars, Lewis Chandler, and Lowell Hawkes where all blessed to stand in. (thanks to you all )!! My mom made Kamron's Blessing outfit. After much debate Garrett and I finally agreed on this baby blue and white outfit. Thanks for sewing the outfit mom it looks great.

Smiles

So Kamron is now doing "social smiles"... no that does not mean that he has stopped the gas smiles. He is growing so much every day. He loves to look at the rod iron that our headboard is made of as well as the wall hanging in the living room. They can keep him entertained for ever. He now is starting to respond to the outrageous noises that his parents try out to make him laugh. We love to play with him and get him smiling.

Kam loves to be outside. I usually take a blanket outside and we veg out for a half hour or so in the evening before Garrett comes home. Last weekend we played out side with daddy too.
Kamron did not like to share his blanket with us. As soon as we sat up off his blanket he stopped crying and punching.

Memories

We all have great memories of eachother so lets hear them!!

1. leave a comment on my blog, one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

pLaY TiMe

It has been so fun staying home with Kamron. He is more and more allert every day. On Friday we spent most of the day laying on the blanket playing with toys and just talking to eachother, well I did most of the talking but he sure tries. Here are a few pictures. Kamron will be four weeks on Tuesday. It is so crazy to think he is almost a month old!!
