Trick or Treat

This year's Halloween was pretty exciting! We dressed Kam up as a pirate! We thought is was very fitting since he likes swords so much and since we went to Grand Cayman this fall! Kamron actually did better with his costume than I thought! He even left his bandanna and eye patch(around his forhead) on for longer than I ever expected! We took him trick-or-treating in old town with Brooke and her step kids! ! We were going to take him to the ward trunk or treat and majic show but we where all sick so we went and showed off our costume to Papa and Grandma Joslin and then headed home to hand out candy! We only had a few trick-or-treaters and so it was a pretty lax night! I made some crab legs for dinner and that was about the sum of it!I can't wait till next year! Now that Kam knows what to expect I am sure it will be hectic!

Oh and a few pictures from the first snow we had a few weeks back! Kamron's first real encounter with it!

Fall Funtime!!

We have had such a good fall! It has been so fun for us to enjoy it with Kamron! It is a whole new adventure for him! This last weekend my sister and her girls came down and we all got to hang out! We went out to this little pumkin patch that had a kids corn maze and some barn yard animals!! Kamron thought it was pretty cold despite how cold it was!

After we finished with the pumpkin patch we went home and carved pumpkins, which were bought at the pumpkin patch O' Walmart, becuase the other were picked over and froze!! Kamron was not so interested so he spent about one minute and was done! WE still have a few more to carv from our garden so hopefully he'll think more of it later this week!

Thanks to our neighbors two huge trees when we came home from church on Sunday we were able to provide Kamron with his first leaf jumping (well throwing) experience! WE would throw him in and he would get completly covered!! He LOVED it! Then Garrett put him in the snow shovel and plowed through the leaves!! He was so mad when we took him inside but his hand and face were to cold to let him stay out!




Kamron Has taken quite the interest in basket ball! Unfortunatly we only have a small soccer ball at the time but that doesn't seem to bother him much!

Who knew that having children would make me like the cold months!! I can't wait for Halloween!!

Caribbean Cruisen'

We had a great time on our cruise!! We had great weather, only a little bit of rain. The weather was a bit more hot and a lot more humid than we had anticipated, but it was still great! We left here last Sunday morning and drove to SLC, we then flew to Tampa, Fl where we spent the night and then borded the Carnival Inspiration we hit up Grand Cayman Islands and then hit Cozumel Mexico and then to Mainland Mexico! We were able to go see the Mayan ruins of Tulum where we enjoyed the ruins and the beautiful beach. Kamron LOVED the beach it was so much fun to see him enjoy the ocean and all the white sand! we took him out a little ways in the beach and kind of body-surfed with him and he totally dug it!

We also got to ride in a semi-submarine in Grand Cayman. Our captain of the sub jumped off the boat and fed the fish right in front of our window where a ton of fish swarmed around!!! Kamron really enjoyed it and we did too!

The food on the boat was great as well as the shows and all the staff! They treated us very well! On the last night at the end of thier Vegas-style show they blew this confetti out of some cannons and Kam thought it was sooo cool!

The boat was pretty big and had three water slides and a little water park, that Kamron enjoyed very much. And we enjoyed the slides.

Kamron did very welll the whole vacation! He got a little restless on the airplane rides do to the fact that he had to stay in such a little area! Other than that he was quite a trooper!

We had a great family vacation and can't wait to take another one!

We had Kam's 1st birthday part this weekend!! We Had so much fun! I made Kam's cake and it took forever and i think it turned out pretty good. my mom helped me by watchin Kam and pitching in with her ideas. He got so many toys and outfits! He is really a spoiled baby...but who can help it he's just so dang cute :). Thanks to everyone who came and helped out and for all the great gifts!! You all made it a sucess!

CHECK UP DAY!!
We went and had a one year check up today! Kam is doing great. He is in the 5oth for hieght, 85 for head circumfrance (to fit all those brains that are going to make mommy rich), and 40th for wieght? WHAT???!!! Yup that's waht the chart says! Well I think that's wierd because a) look at prior pic b) have you ever had to cary him more than 10 minutes??

Anyway he didn't have shots becuase Idaho hasn't been able to give them sicne the first of the month and wont be able to resume untill next month... it looks like he bought himself a couple weeks.

Happy Birthday Bug!!!

So my little bug has turned one! My how the time goes! I can honestly say this has been the best year of my life so far! I never knew I could love someone so much. I never knew my heart could hurt so much when his hurt. I never knew I would be such a silly mom (I get hte weirdest looks in the grocery store). I never knew how much he would bring me joy. I never knew I would want to change my life so much to want to accomodate him. I never knew how I'd cherish our every cuddle, kiss and hug!! I neve knew how much a little laugh could warm my heart so much! I love him so much! I am so lucky to be Kamron's mom!!! What an angel he is. He is the center of our universe and the apple of his daddy's eye.

Kam's B-day was pretty lax. We played all day then went out to pizza with both sets of grandparents. He opened a few presents and that's about it! The Party is on Sunday and I will sure to post many pictures from it!

4th of July and a Fight with a Bully

We had a great 4th of July weekend besides the fact that Garrett got sick and was unable to come to the firework show with us :(. On the 3rd we bought our own fire works and lit them off. Kam thought they were great. Then for the 4th we just stayed in town and had a BBQ with my parents and my brother Dusty. Then we headed up to the fairgrounds and watched the firework show. Kam loved the fireworks but the loud bangs got to him. He's burry his head in our soulders but then keep trying to turn back around to see the next ones go off. Well by the end he was asleep and slept through the grand finale. I dont know how but he did it. Unfortunatley there was a big storm before the fireworks, and it hailed so bad at my parents house that it ruined their entire garden. It literally looked like someone had gone through it with a weed-wacker. Her flower beds looked the same. :(

Then on Sunday Kam got in a fight with a bully and got his first fat lip!! But you should have seen the other kid when he wias done with him!!! ;)

Ok so he really just tripped and did a face plant but I liked the other story better.

All in all we had a great weekend and I am truely blessed to be an AMERICAN!!!

Yes I am talking to whomever decided to take the opportunity while I was on a walk with my son and niece, Alicia, to take a rock, yes a rock (it was still in the car) throw it through the back passanger window of my car, while it was parked at the head of the bike path, and unlock the door, help yourself to my purse that was shoved under the seat, which had:

Well I got my camera cord fixed here are some random pics and videos from the last couple months.

Here's Kam and me in swim lessons. He loved the water and loved everything about the swim lessons. He did very well.

This is the swing that we got Kamron for easter. Garrett finally got it hung in the tree. Kamron is quite the dare-devil, he loves to go really high. He gets this funny look on his face then laughs!!! So cute!

I caught Kam sleeping with his butt up in the air a few weeks ago... It was so funny we had to take a pic!

Kamron growels like a little monster, it is the funniest thing. he actually does it becuase he thinks he is making car sounds

Kamron is walking all over the house using the furniture and he especially does this when the cat is around. He goes around saying "hi Kitty" "hi Kitty"!! He's pretty much the smartest kid ever!

I bought this little chair at the dollar store and it is just the perfect size for Kam. He thinks he is such a big kid when he sits in it!!

10 months!

Kamron is actually about 10 1/2 months but I have been a slacker with the blogging thing latley. My boy is getting so big! He is wearing 18mo to 24 mo clothes and he is seriously almost half as tall as me!! I still haven't gotten a new camera cord but as soon as I do I will be sure to post some pics and videos. Kamron has decided to stop saying dad and papa, but he continues to say mom! He is wokring on please and thank you and is getting pretty good at them and I think he said tree the other day. He is quite the talker... that is if you speek baby. He is crawling around like crazy and he pulls himself onto everything and walks around holding onto the furniture. He stood by himself for like 30sec the other day but he is a chicken and was flayling his arms around too much. If you stand in one place to long he will be right there pulling himself up.I think that it wont be too much longer before he is walking, but we'll see. Kamron's newest toy is the hose, He loooooves it. everytime I go outside to water the flowers or the newly seeded back yard he basically jumps out of my arms to put his hands in the stream of water. He doesn't even mind if the water is freezing. I'm such a lucky mom to have such a great baby. I love him to pieces.

Kamron has developed a new way to throw a fit. If he is mad he will scrunch his nose and lips and blow in and out of his nose.... it is seriously the funniest thing! He is a very expressive baby and we are always laughing at his expresions!

I am still at home with Kamron and loving almost every minute :). I am not sure what I am going to do in the next few months but here are my options:
*Get my MBA
*Get a law degree, focus in business
* Get my teaching certificate
* work odds and in jobs so that I can stay home, most of the time
*Get a full-time job
All of them have pros and all of tehm have cons but i am sure having a hard time deciding/finding an answer!

We have been busy this spring we have planted a full garden and we had to reseed most of our backyard because of the shape it was in from the previous owners. If the seed doesn't work we will till it all in and lay sawd(sp?) next year.. Keep you fingers crossed for us!! We also have been trying to go wild Asparagas hunting (with not a ton of luck)! Garrett has been at home earlier these days and it's so nice to be able to spend time as a family.

As for an update on my mom: las month was a bit rocky. But things have improved so much this last month. she is back at work very part-time but that means she is improving!!! I was worried there for a little bit that I may not get MY mom back (people who have traumatic brain injuries often have personality changes) thankfull things turned around and she is back to her old-self. I am so greatful for all the time we were able to hang out, I'm just sorry that the circumstance is what it was! I truely think I have a great mom who just happens to be one of my best friends!

Happy Easter

Yes I think my cat may have some mental handicap. She chewed up my cord that connects my camera to the computer so now I can't download pictures untill I buy a new one. You'd think she learned her lesson when she swallowed the string and we had to pay over 1000 for her surgery!

Easter weekend was very eventfull for our family. On friday night my sister and her girls came into town. On Saturday we had a big brunch with them and then dyed eggs. They unfortunatly had to go home Saturday night ot be with Kevins family on Sunday but we sure had fun with them. Kamron absolutly adored my niece Nikki. I think that she has as much energy as him so they were good play mates. SHe also would walk him around, which he loves and once you start you can't stop.

On Saturday night my Brother James and his crew came and stayed the night at my house. On Sunday we all went to my mom's and spent the day. We had an amazing dinner and a very exciting egg hunt.

It was so great to spend time with the family and we missed Garretts family very much! Kamron got very spoiled by the Easter Bunny! I will post pics as soon as I get a new cord...

As Promised: Crawling Footage

Here are a couple videos. The one in blue is about a week ago and the one in stripes is from today. Kamron has begun to pull himself up onto things too. I'll try to get some video of that if I can.

Finally...!

It's official, Kamron can crawl. He started about a week ago and is coming right along. He crawls mostly army/military style. However, almost every time he goes to take off he'll start on all fours and take a couple steps but he always ends up going army style. I can't blame him because he has a lot of weight to move so I'm sure it's hard work!! I thought I would be so excited when he started to crawl but when I saw him do it for the first time it made me a little sad... It means my little man is getting big and part of me just wants him to stay little forever. I am happy he can crawl because that means he is healthy and is meeting all his developmental marks. I have some cute pics and some videos I'll post when I have some more time!

Snowed in and nothing to do!!

Yup that's right we are snowed in on March 23, just two sweet days after it was about sixty here. And after we raked the lawn to get it ready for springsummer. Well I guess it gave me an excuse to update the blog.


Kamron and I have been very busy helping out Grandma Gale and hanging out with her while she is recovering from her accident. Papa is loving having his little "Macho Man" around as well. Kamron definatley wears his papa out by making him help walk him around the house. We mostly hang out at her house but we try to go for walks whenever it is nice outside to help my mom get the blood circulating so that she doesn't get any clots in her legs. Kamron loves the outside and is very good while we are walking.



(Kamron doesn't get to be held a whole lot by Grandma these days but enjoys it when he gets it)






Kamron still hasn't crawled forward yet, but he is so close. He goes in circles and crawles backwards very well, all in army style. He often backs himself into furniture and walls and furniture. He has begun to get up on all fours and to bring one leg underhimself but he still hasn't figures to push himself forward after he does it. He is doing better about being on his stomach but it is still not his favorite thing, he'd much rather be "walked" around.






We keep thinking Coacoa will be the motivating factor to get Kamron to crawl...We'll see!

Kamron is teething again. I think his two front top teeth are trying to make their debut. since he got his two botttom teeth we have graduated from teh finger tooth brush to a real one. The only problem is that he likes to brush his own teeth and he shares everything he can with the dog. SO GROSS!! Here's a picture of our big boy.


Just a cute Pic. We live less than 3 minutes from our church but by the end Kamron is so tired. he won't sleep in church, he has to be awake to see everything that is going on. He usually is asleep by the time we exit the parking lot!


My brother and sister in law gave us one of those big play pins that have the multi-colored balls in them (like the play lands at McDonalds) and Kam absolutley loves the balls. He loves you to throw them at him so he can palm it and hand it back to you to do it again. He also has a soccer ball and he loves to play with too.
