Kamron's 1st Christmas Program

On Thursday we had the pleasure of attending Kamron's 1st Christmas Program. The Daycare/Preschool that he goes to put it on. All in all It Was a very cute program, and most of the kids did wonderful! When we got there Kam had to go "get ready" well that was not cool, I think he thought we were leaving him, not just in the other room waiting for the show to start. a few minutes later one of his teachers and him came to get me because he was so upset! I went "backstage" with him untill he was comfortable. Wen the Kids all came out on the stage he was being sooo cute waiving to us all and blowing kisses. When the kids all started to sing (Santa Clause is coming to town) he got a serious case of Stage of stage freight. I started crying and dropped a whole bunch of change (which I had no idea was in his hands) on the stage and began to frantically look for it. He soon made his way to me.

After a little while of calming him down and some serious bribery and some humiliation on my part trying to get him back on the stage he returned to sing jingle bell rock!

Santa walked in when the kids started the 1st song and had a special seat to watch the kids sing... afterward he visited with each and every kid!

It wad a great night and very memorable... I love my son and I am so proud of who he is and who is becoming! I am so blessed to have him in my life!

We are all ready for Christmas and can't wait! I know this year is going to be great with Kamron!

Kamron's 2nd Bday and Summer Vacation

OK OK I know I am about 4 months late... but better than nothing. Kam turned 2 on July 15th and we had a very small get together at the park for pizza and cake. Kam was spoiled, of course! We bought him a Ford F-150 Power Wheels. He loves it! He has a hard time steering sometimes, but maybe by the time he's 16 he'll be a great driver and I won't fear for my life when I ride in the car with him, right ;).

He is seriously the best two year old. Either I was braising myself for some really really terrible two's or I just lucked out! He is so sweet, he loves to tell me he loves me and that he missed me when I pick him up from day care. He can sing his ABC's and count to ten he knows all his colors and most of his shapes. He is so funny and a real ham. Everybody love to be round him! He is talking so well and it was like over night that his two word sentences turned into huge sentences (that is when he is not being lazy.WE love him so stinking Much! And he will say that too! its to die for!

A few days later we were jet set for our family vacation.

This year I pushed for lax vacation on the beach, so we picked San Diego. Much to my surprise they were experiencing record lows about mid sixty's and it may have gotten to 76 one day. WE stay really close to the boarder but no more than 30 min from anywhere we wanted to be. We went to San Diego Zoo, Sea World, The Beach, and Lego Land, And of course we did some light shopping in a huge outlet mall!

We had a great time and Kam was such a champ on the plain and in the car! The beach was cold but we played in the water anyway. Kamron wasn't digging it like the year before but I really don't blame him.

He loved the Zoo and Sea World.

Lego land a was not what we expected and I remember and one point Garrett and I looked at each other and thought.... WE should see if we could get a refund! WE bucked up and made the best of it and ended up having a pretty good day. We went to the pier on the way to the airport and one of the ships they are using to make the new Pirates of the Caribbean just happened to be docked!

We had a wonderful summer and also made Kam a new tree fort in the back, spent lots of time with family and friends and welcomed a niece! That's our summer in a short post!

Darth Vader

SO a couple of weeks ago I was awaken by my husband shaking me telling me, that Kamron, who had climbed into bed with us an hour or so earlier, was not breathing in his sleep. Kam would stop breathing and then all of the sudden start breathing again. Sometimes it was so long he would gasp to catch his breath. he also has always snored a lot, often sounding like DARTH VADER.

I got him into see doctor West that day and after looking over him the plan was to do a sleep test over two nights in order to observe his heart rate and his oxygen level, to meet with the ENT specialist about his "huge" tonsils and adenoids, and to put oxygen on him at night until all was resolved. SO a few days later we met with Dr. DOnaldson who stated that we needed to get his tonsils out so we scheduled the surgery for the 12th.

In the meantime we were trying to convince a 2 yr old to keep oxygen on his face and he had to sleep in our room to be monitored. Finally we found the ticket to keep the oxygen on his face.... telling him he had a mustache just like Papa Lish. It worked.WE had also gotten the test results back and they had recorded oxygen levels as low as 75. Seeing this the doctor suggested we may have to go see a Pulminologist at Primary Childrens in SLC. The pattern the oxygen levels were in suggested he may have regular sleep apnea as well as obstructive

Surgery came quickly and I was a little nervous, but everyone who I talked to raved about Dr. DOnaldson. The surgery took about an hour and when the Doctor came out to get me he said Kam was ok but the surgery hadn't gone at easy as he had anticipated
One of Kams tonsils started to bleed and the doctor had to put pressure on it for about 5-8 minutes until he could get it cauterized. He said his huge tonsils were even larger and reached farther into his throat than he thought. He also said his adenoids blocked about 75% of Kams airway in his nose. I soon got to meet back with my very upset little boy and snuggle with him all day. he had to stay the night so tehy could make sure his oxygen levels did not drop to low because of the swelling. the lowest level that was recorded was 96 :). We were suppose to be able to go home on Saturday morning but Kamron was refusing to eat and drink so he had to remain on the IV( I mean his meals consisted of a Popsicle, juice, and jello). Finally about 4pm on Saturday he started to turn around and we were released and got out of the hospital about 7pm. I am lucky to be able to take of work until Wednesday and to take care of him. He has been a bit whiny but all the cuddling has sure made up for it.

WE will probably still have to do another sleep test to make sure that was the only sleep apnea but I must say I am feeling good about it. Thanks to the power of priesthood blessings. Kam had lot of family that came to visit and lots of prayers said. Thank you!

HaLlOwEeN

It's pretty sad when you realize the last real post you posted was a Year ago! Where has my year gone????? Well I am trying to re-commit myself to blogging because quite frankly this is the only type of journaling I do and if not this....nothing! I hope to get a couple recap posts up of this last year... and attempt one new post per week!

This year for Halloween Kam dressed up as a vampire and practiced saying "I want to suck your blood" for a about a week. He Also kept saying "trick-or-treat". We took him too The Bish's Rv trick or treating, waited in line for about an hour and then went to Grandparents Lish house

Then to trunk or treat then off we went to Grandparents Joslins.

All in all he made out like a bandit! Now whenever he does something he deems reward-able, such as going potty, he tells us he needs a pumpkin treat!

Blessed

I felt inspired to write this tonight... I AM BLESSED!

I am blessed to have an amazing son who loves me so much, who makes me happy just to see him. He is filled with so much joy and happiness and has filled our lives up with so much happiness. I can not imagine my life ever without him. I love the giggles, I love his crazy moments when he is using a grilled cheese sandwich as a gun. I love the moments when he needs me to kiss and owie better, and then as though magic, the pain is gone. I love that every night and nearly every morning he wants to nuggle (snuggle) with me. I am so blessed that he is so interested in trying to say prayers. I am so blessed he has the opportunity to get to know both sets of grandparents. I am so grateful for his health, how smart he is, and sweet spirit!

I am so blessed to have such a loving, kind and patient husband. I am grateful that he is the calm to my storm, the whisper to my yell, and the half that makes my heart whole. I am grateful for his love, I am grateful for his patience. I am lucky that he works so hard to provide for his family. I am blessed that he is so handy and can fix just about anything. I am grateful that he is so in love with me. I am grateful for everything he does for me, and I am grateful he will be with me for eternity. I am so blessed to have a husband who loves to be a dad. What a great father he is! He LOVES Kamron. He gets down to his level and plays with him like they are best buds!

I am blessed to have a job, especially in today's economy

I am blessed to have had the opportunity to receive higher education

I am blessed with a great family, who will always love me

I am blessed to have the knowledge of the gospel. I know the church is true I know that the redeemer lives and that he died for me and all my brothers and sisters. I know that someday I will return to him and he will greet me with open arms and a warm smile. I am grateful for hose who share their testimonies so that mine may grow. I am grateful to those who set good examples to me, and probably don't even know I am watching. I know that with the plan of salvation everyone will have a chance to return to god. I love my heavenly father and I love that I am loved back regardless of all my imperfections. I am truly blessed to have this knowledge and to be able to go to the temple and to gain a greater knowledge and receive even more blessings.

The list could go on and on but the conclusion is the same, I am truly blessed!

Cancer

Well my Daddy was diagnosed with prostate cancer the last part of april/ 1st part of march, almost to the dya of my Mom's accident last year. The cancer is also in his hip and in his lower back. It's stage 4 and terminal. The doctors have given him hormon therapy and have given him surgery that should both slow the cancer and pro-long his life! The one doctor told him he has 18 months to 4 years.. and the actaul oncologist refuses to give a time frame and just wants to play it by ear! I am not going to lie, I really wasn't that suprised when I found out! Did it hurt, heck yes! I am sure my heart broke a little when my mom told me. But in all honesty I always thought my Dad would get cancer, I always thought it would be lung or mouth cancer from smoking.

My dad has chosen not to do Chemo and may or may not do some radation therapy depending on how the hormone therapy works out! My dad wishes to live as full as life as possible without the horrible side effects of modern medicine that would be very unlikely to cure him. I am trying to respect his wishes and not be slefish and tell him to fight, to fight for me, my son and my mom!!!

The first thing that ran across my mind was Kamron. Kamron LOVES his papa so much and at first all I wanted to do was protect him from the possible "future hurt". I immediatly puched that thought away and move on to I hope Kamron gets to know his papa as well as possible and gets to spend as much time with him as possible! I hope that in the next few months my dad's pain goes away or is at least lessened so he can be a bit more mobile. I want him to be able to get back down on the floor and sit and play with Kamron.

I am so sad that such a proud man has to be humbled with such a horrible diease. I hope that through all of this my father's heart may be softened so that when the time comes he will be willing to accept the gospel. I would love more that anything for that to happen in this life, but if not I pray it will happen in the next! I know that heavenly father will take care of it on the other side. I am so glad that if it comes to that, that my husband will be able to do the temple work for him!

I love my dady soo much and I hope that the next months and years are as great as the rest of his life, I hope that I can get closer to him and get to know him better. I hope that I am able to spend more time with him. Mostly I wish him comfort!

With all of this going on Garrett and I decided it was best that I change jobs so that Kamron wasn't such a burden on my mom, and also so we could spend more time as a family! So yesterday was my last day at Claires and tomorrow I will start back at Citifinancial!! I am excited to be able to do things as a family and to be able to tuck my little man in every night! It was a very hard decision to make with many pros and a few cons with each job. Garrett got two ne accounts at work and has been wokring like crazy! We dont see him much during the weekdays so it will be nice to be a fmaily on the weekends. I pray that I made the right decision for the right reason and the lord will continue to provide me with secure employement!

Kamron is getting so big, it is hard to believe he will be 2 in a few months!! He is talking pretty wel (when he wants to0) and is learning so quickly. He loves to talk about animals, and make animal noises, he loves his colors ( I think yellow is his fav, or at least to say), and he loves to sing. His favorite song is Twinkle Twinkle little star. It was my favorite when I was little too. My dad would sing it to me every day and let my sit on his lap and drive the car home from daycare! He loves to throw balls and to play on bikes and anything that had to do with cars! Kamron is such a ham and we love to be around him soooo much! We have a very busy summer planned and I hope to be much better about updating the blog!

Really, its been since Halloween??

It's official... I suck at updating the blog! I try to remember but It just takes so long sometimes. I will blab tonight and try and get some pics posted tomorrow... no promises!

I started my new job in Novemeber. I am the new Manager of Claires in the mall! I apparently just can't get away from the mall :(!! I was wisked away to Twin Falls for a week of trianing a day after I was offered the job! It was my first time being away from Kamron and man oh man was it hard on all of us!!! I was lucky to have a great trainer and I learned a ton while I was there! Then a week later I started in my store!! I love working for the company! I think that they are great and I love my uper management! Things were a little rocky with a few of my employees but they seemed to have melod out! I was thrown in in the busiest time of the year so I was just focused on what I do best, customer service, and now I feel like I am learning a ton more new stuff! I am very excited to be working, but on the other hand I hate being away from Kamron, and I know he feels the same!

A good friend was watching Kam for us and it was like a second home to him! He instantly acquired two brothers and two sisters!! However, She decided to return to school and we felt it nessicary to put Kam in a more permanant environment. We just didn"t want to have to move him around. So after some searching we decided to enroll him at a daycare facility. SO for we have been super pleased. He is adjusting very well. He has had some rough moments but he has only been there four times!! He is such a great kid!!

Thanksgiving was awesome! We were able to go to my sisters house and spend it with her family and all of our family. THere were a ton of people but it was great! She is so wonderful to have hosted it and to have delt with the aftermath!

Now Christmas! Christmas was great we spent Christmas eve with Garrett's family and christmas morning, then we went over to my parents house for Christmas day and evening! It was nice to spend time with both families. Kamron was spoiled rotten he got so many presents that by the end he didn't even want to open them, so I had to finish the job. :) Garrett and I went a little crazy this year and splurged on eachother, I bought him a snowblower and he got me a over the rang microwave that he and his dad installed late Christmas eve as a suprise for me CHristmas morning, I loved it!!!!

Our new year has been off to a great start!! WE are so busy with work but we try to spend all our free time as a family! My job has been stressfull the last couple weeks (just look at my zitty face and you'd know) but I am sure that It will be better!

Kamron is so tough for going to daycare, It breaks my heart every time I walk out of the daycare when I drop him off, but we really don't have any other choice! He is missed all day long! He is getting sooo stinkning big, it is bitter-sweet! I love him with my whole heart. I will doa post just on him in the next couple days... There is just so much that he is doing these days!

We have also had the opportunity to have Garrett's mother in town since Christmas. It has been so fun to get to know her better and to be able to hang out with her! She has also helped us out with the transitioning between daycares!! She always seems to be in town when she is needed most. I am thankful that she listens to the promptings and is there!! Kamron is slowly coming around to her and they have become quite good little buddies! Its great!!!

Well I guess that is a really brief overveiw about our last three months but its better than nothing!!
