And Jaxton Makes Four!

We welcomed Jaxton Allen Lish into this world on October 20th!! It was kind of a whirlwind and I will try to recall all that happened.

I went into my midwives office on Thursday the 20th at 39 weeks along knowing they were going to try and strip my membranes. We had been watching this pregnancy closely because Kamron was soo big and I had a hard time delivering him. When I went in my midwife stripped my membranes and after measuring my belly (measuring at 42 weeks) she stated we should try a Fully Bulb Catheter and then if nothing was happening to meet her at the hospital at 1 and she would break my water. Well we were shocked and not quite prepared so Garrett and I took a few minutes and discussed the situation and asked if nothing was happening if we could meet her at 5 instead. She agreed.

So I had a great day hanging with Kam with a few contractions here and there. But nothing too exciting. So when 5 rolled around we headed up to the hospital. after I was all checked in and they had giving me an IV line my midwife came in and broke my water at about 5:30ish.My midwife told me she was leaving but would be back shortly. when I asked her if she was going to go see her kids for a bit she laughed and said no I dont trust you, and laughed and walked away. They made me stay hooked up to the monitor for about 45 min before I could get off just to make sure baby was tolerating everything okay. so I layed there with hardly anything happening.
when the nurse finally came in and told me I could get up and I had 45 min before they had to hook me back up for 15 min. Garrett and I decided to wonder the halls of the floor.

SO we started walking and talking and contractions started coming. My mom showed up and joined our little walking adventure. by the time I went back 45 min later my contractions were about 4-5 min apart and about 45 sec long. After they monitored me We decided to get into the big jetted tub. I was attempting my second no pain med birth and hot water seems to take the edge off. I was having pretty bad back labor and I needed someone to rub my back at every contraction!! I got int the tub and my contractions kept coming and were getting closer and closer.

My midwife Nichole check the baby while I was in the tub and heart rate was great everything looked good. She suggested that I get out and try to go lay on my left side as this has a tendency to make you want to finish dilating I was at like a 6 at that point. When I got the the bed I laid for a few minutes but then all of the sudden Jaxtons heart rate dropped to 70 and he was under distress. he was coming in posterior and was not liking it. a few minutes later I told he I HAD to push. Meanwhile I can her here telling the nurse in the background to get dr, Cox to the hospital fast she needed him on the campus immediately. I was now stressing worried about having a c-section and even more worried about my little munchkin. at that point my midwife asked me to go on hands and knees as its the easiest way for babies to come out. I obliged and I worked through a few contractions until all of the sudden the nurse told the midwife Dr. Cox is five minutes out and Nichole tells me Krystal you have to turn over now, I told her to hold on ( I was in the middle on a contraction) and she said no now!!! I flipped over she gave me an Episiotomy and then I pushed a couple more times and the most Handsome Baby boy was layed on me.

He was Born at 8:34 pm he weighed 7lb 9oz (he seems so small compared to Kam) and was 21 inches and his head was 13 and 3/4. I labored for about 3 hours which seems short but it was hard and fast. Thankfully Nichole knew not to leave me for very long.

They quickly cut the cord and took him to the table. He was having a hard time breathing and needed oxygen every time he'd breathe his chest would like collapse. They worked on him for a while and I remember telling the NICU nurse take him if you need to. she said its okay we got it here. I waiting till my baby was doing better before I let the Nichole stitch me up. My mom was so sweet she stood right by her grandson until she knew he was okay. Garrett was torn and kept pacing between the two of us!

My hospital stay was surprisingly short I left the next day at 3pm. I was so nervous to go to Portneuf because everyone was saying how bad it had gotten since they moved. I was so lucky I had the best nurses who were so sweet and kind and waited on my hand and foot.

We sure love our new addition I love all the snuggles and just being able to hold him all day long.
Kamron has done really well to the adjustment. When he got up to the hospital that night he wasn't so sure didn't want to hold him and really just wasn't interested however by the end of his first visit he wanted to hold Jaxton and he rocked him and sang him a song!! It was the cutest thing ever! He is truly a great big brother. he has had his moments but the good ones far outweigh the bad ones.

Jaxton is a great baby he wakes every 3 hours like clockwork. He was a little confused the first couple days home. He would wake up at 3 and think it was day time and would try to stay awake for an hour. thankfully we got that out of his system.

I am so thankful to my heavenly father and the blessings he has given us. I am thankful for my two healthy boys and I am thankful that Jaxton made it here safely. I love being a mom and I am so grateful to be able to take 13 weeks off of work to get with my boys. I love my family.

Viva Las Vegas

So we didn't get the tax return we were hoping for. As a matter of fact we owed the feds. Lame! And since we use our tax returns for vacation our budget was a bit smaller this year. So we decided to drive to Vegas! Mistake 1.) driving, such a long drive and I hated it (Garrett didn't mind because he hates flying) 2.) Vegas In July what was I thinking I was like 7 months along and it was sweltering hot!!

Our vacation was pretty lax. we hung out at the pool, walked the strip, ate lots of food, and hung out at Circus Circus. We stayed at a hotel called Tuscany Suites, it was a nice hotel about a block of the strip and supper cheap!

There was this one act at Circus Circus where there was this bouncy board and the lady seriously went sooo far into the air and would come back down to land on this board that was probably no wider than 4inches.

I Had to go on a gondola ride and Garrett Kindly obliged, I am pretty sure he thought it was lame but Kam and I enjoyed it. Its probably the closest I will ever come to the real thing

And of course we went to the wax museum.

We were even lucky enough to get to see my brother Dusty who has been living in LA. He was able to drive up and spend a couple days with us. Kam sure enjoyed his uncle and they bonded really well.

It was nice to get away. and I am glad we went to Vegas but I don't think I will need to go back for a while

Happy 3rd Birthday Bug!

We celebrated Kams birthday back in july. I know I am a blog slacker, but it is what it is. We had a small get together at our house nothing too exciting. I had toyed with the idea of having his friends come over and decided I wanted to wait one more year. We had lots of family show up and of course kam was spoiled rotten.

I cant believe that my baby is three. He is soo very smart and sometimes when he talks I find myself picking my jaw off the ground because he says the most grown up things. He has been working on learning to recognize and write his ABCs and 123s. it is a little slow going because I don't have all the time I'd like to dedicate to it and his daycare isn't doing preschool for the 2-3yr olds this year :(.

This kid is so full of life he is such a blessing to us. He sure keeps us on our toes. He is truly well behaved and is very helpful. He loves anything to do with swords and guns. He loves to play outside and loves to play in the sand box. If we let him he would stay outside all day and all night. He is 100% boy!!

We sure do love him and are very very grateful that he is ours and we get to enjoy him everyday!
