Christmas 2010

We had such a nice Christmas this year. We Spent Christmas Eve with Garrett's Family and Had Christmas Dinner. We then went and looked at Christmas lights. When we were done with lights we went to my Parents house and spent the night. My Brother James surprised us and came down So Garrett and I stayed up way late putting Kams gifts together and just hanging out with my brother. It was nice to hang out with him because we are about 14 yrs apart and have never really been close. Christmas morning was a BLAST!! Kam loved everything he got and was sooo fun to watch. After we opened Christmas presents at my families we went back over to Garrett's Parents and all of his siblings were there. We hung out there for bit then headed back over to my Parents house because my sister, Jessica, and her family came down and we had dinner over there. Kamron was spoiled rotten, of course, and we ended up holding on to a couple of his presents to give him later. Kam got a big boy bike and helmet from Sanata and lots and lots of toys, Clothes, and Shoes! Some of his favorites are these magnet block things called Magformers! HE LOVES THEM, and so do we! He got some sweet Etnies shoes and and his new favorite Playdough!

Garrett and I got a new laptop together and then He surprised me with a camcorder and I surprised him with a new coat!

Kams Bike!

WE love our Families so much and we are sooo thankful for them all! WE are so lucky to live in the same town as both parents so that we are able to share the holidays with them all!

Kamron's 1st Christmas Program

On Thursday we had the pleasure of attending Kamron's 1st Christmas Program. The Daycare/Preschool that he goes to put it on. All in all It Was a very cute program, and most of the kids did wonderful! When we got there Kam had to go "get ready" well that was not cool, I think he thought we were leaving him, not just in the other room waiting for the show to start. a few minutes later one of his teachers and him came to get me because he was so upset! I went "backstage" with him untill he was comfortable. Wen the Kids all came out on the stage he was being sooo cute waiving to us all and blowing kisses. When the kids all started to sing (Santa Clause is coming to town) he got a serious case of Stage of stage freight. I started crying and dropped a whole bunch of change (which I had no idea was in his hands) on the stage and began to frantically look for it. He soon made his way to me.

After a little while of calming him down and some serious bribery and some humiliation on my part trying to get him back on the stage he returned to sing jingle bell rock!

Santa walked in when the kids started the 1st song and had a special seat to watch the kids sing... afterward he visited with each and every kid!

It wad a great night and very memorable... I love my son and I am so proud of who he is and who is becoming! I am so blessed to have him in my life!

We are all ready for Christmas and can't wait! I know this year is going to be great with Kamron!

Kamron's 2nd Bday and Summer Vacation

OK OK I know I am about 4 months late... but better than nothing. Kam turned 2 on July 15th and we had a very small get together at the park for pizza and cake. Kam was spoiled, of course! We bought him a Ford F-150 Power Wheels. He loves it! He has a hard time steering sometimes, but maybe by the time he's 16 he'll be a great driver and I won't fear for my life when I ride in the car with him, right ;).

He is seriously the best two year old. Either I was braising myself for some really really terrible two's or I just lucked out! He is so sweet, he loves to tell me he loves me and that he missed me when I pick him up from day care. He can sing his ABC's and count to ten he knows all his colors and most of his shapes. He is so funny and a real ham. Everybody love to be round him! He is talking so well and it was like over night that his two word sentences turned into huge sentences (that is when he is not being lazy.WE love him so stinking Much! And he will say that too! its to die for!

A few days later we were jet set for our family vacation.

This year I pushed for lax vacation on the beach, so we picked San Diego. Much to my surprise they were experiencing record lows about mid sixty's and it may have gotten to 76 one day. WE stay really close to the boarder but no more than 30 min from anywhere we wanted to be. We went to San Diego Zoo, Sea World, The Beach, and Lego Land, And of course we did some light shopping in a huge outlet mall!

We had a great time and Kam was such a champ on the plain and in the car! The beach was cold but we played in the water anyway. Kamron wasn't digging it like the year before but I really don't blame him.

He loved the Zoo and Sea World.

Lego land a was not what we expected and I remember and one point Garrett and I looked at each other and thought.... WE should see if we could get a refund! WE bucked up and made the best of it and ended up having a pretty good day. We went to the pier on the way to the airport and one of the ships they are using to make the new Pirates of the Caribbean just happened to be docked!

We had a wonderful summer and also made Kam a new tree fort in the back, spent lots of time with family and friends and welcomed a niece! That's our summer in a short post!

Darth Vader

SO a couple of weeks ago I was awaken by my husband shaking me telling me, that Kamron, who had climbed into bed with us an hour or so earlier, was not breathing in his sleep. Kam would stop breathing and then all of the sudden start breathing again. Sometimes it was so long he would gasp to catch his breath. he also has always snored a lot, often sounding like DARTH VADER.

I got him into see doctor West that day and after looking over him the plan was to do a sleep test over two nights in order to observe his heart rate and his oxygen level, to meet with the ENT specialist about his "huge" tonsils and adenoids, and to put oxygen on him at night until all was resolved. SO a few days later we met with Dr. DOnaldson who stated that we needed to get his tonsils out so we scheduled the surgery for the 12th.

In the meantime we were trying to convince a 2 yr old to keep oxygen on his face and he had to sleep in our room to be monitored. Finally we found the ticket to keep the oxygen on his face.... telling him he had a mustache just like Papa Lish. It worked.WE had also gotten the test results back and they had recorded oxygen levels as low as 75. Seeing this the doctor suggested we may have to go see a Pulminologist at Primary Childrens in SLC. The pattern the oxygen levels were in suggested he may have regular sleep apnea as well as obstructive

Surgery came quickly and I was a little nervous, but everyone who I talked to raved about Dr. DOnaldson. The surgery took about an hour and when the Doctor came out to get me he said Kam was ok but the surgery hadn't gone at easy as he had anticipated
One of Kams tonsils started to bleed and the doctor had to put pressure on it for about 5-8 minutes until he could get it cauterized. He said his huge tonsils were even larger and reached farther into his throat than he thought. He also said his adenoids blocked about 75% of Kams airway in his nose. I soon got to meet back with my very upset little boy and snuggle with him all day. he had to stay the night so tehy could make sure his oxygen levels did not drop to low because of the swelling. the lowest level that was recorded was 96 :). We were suppose to be able to go home on Saturday morning but Kamron was refusing to eat and drink so he had to remain on the IV( I mean his meals consisted of a Popsicle, juice, and jello). Finally about 4pm on Saturday he started to turn around and we were released and got out of the hospital about 7pm. I am lucky to be able to take of work until Wednesday and to take care of him. He has been a bit whiny but all the cuddling has sure made up for it.

WE will probably still have to do another sleep test to make sure that was the only sleep apnea but I must say I am feeling good about it. Thanks to the power of priesthood blessings. Kam had lot of family that came to visit and lots of prayers said. Thank you!

HaLlOwEeN

It's pretty sad when you realize the last real post you posted was a Year ago! Where has my year gone????? Well I am trying to re-commit myself to blogging because quite frankly this is the only type of journaling I do and if not this....nothing! I hope to get a couple recap posts up of this last year... and attempt one new post per week!

This year for Halloween Kam dressed up as a vampire and practiced saying "I want to suck your blood" for a about a week. He Also kept saying "trick-or-treat". We took him too The Bish's Rv trick or treating, waited in line for about an hour and then went to Grandparents Lish house

Then to trunk or treat then off we went to Grandparents Joslins.

All in all he made out like a bandit! Now whenever he does something he deems reward-able, such as going potty, he tells us he needs a pumpkin treat!

Blessed

I felt inspired to write this tonight... I AM BLESSED!

I am blessed to have an amazing son who loves me so much, who makes me happy just to see him. He is filled with so much joy and happiness and has filled our lives up with so much happiness. I can not imagine my life ever without him. I love the giggles, I love his crazy moments when he is using a grilled cheese sandwich as a gun. I love the moments when he needs me to kiss and owie better, and then as though magic, the pain is gone. I love that every night and nearly every morning he wants to nuggle (snuggle) with me. I am so blessed that he is so interested in trying to say prayers. I am so blessed he has the opportunity to get to know both sets of grandparents. I am so grateful for his health, how smart he is, and sweet spirit!

I am so blessed to have such a loving, kind and patient husband. I am grateful that he is the calm to my storm, the whisper to my yell, and the half that makes my heart whole. I am grateful for his love, I am grateful for his patience. I am lucky that he works so hard to provide for his family. I am blessed that he is so handy and can fix just about anything. I am grateful that he is so in love with me. I am grateful for everything he does for me, and I am grateful he will be with me for eternity. I am so blessed to have a husband who loves to be a dad. What a great father he is! He LOVES Kamron. He gets down to his level and plays with him like they are best buds!

I am blessed to have a job, especially in today's economy

I am blessed to have had the opportunity to receive higher education

I am blessed with a great family, who will always love me

I am blessed to have the knowledge of the gospel. I know the church is true I know that the redeemer lives and that he died for me and all my brothers and sisters. I know that someday I will return to him and he will greet me with open arms and a warm smile. I am grateful for hose who share their testimonies so that mine may grow. I am grateful to those who set good examples to me, and probably don't even know I am watching. I know that with the plan of salvation everyone will have a chance to return to god. I love my heavenly father and I love that I am loved back regardless of all my imperfections. I am truly blessed to have this knowledge and to be able to go to the temple and to gain a greater knowledge and receive even more blessings.

The list could go on and on but the conclusion is the same, I am truly blessed!
