Mommy, WOW! I'm a Big Kid Now!!

Potty Training! Maybe if you don't have kids yet or you do and haven't gotten to this stage yet it may seem like a dreadful word combo! I know I was terrified. I also know we have been trying to get our little man potty trained for months and months and months!! Kamron has used the potty for a long time and has shown interest in it and definite signs of being ready. However, getting him to fully commit to is and to pull him away from what he is doing for long enough to use the potty has been a long and painful process. Kamron has been in pull-ups for probably 4 months! Let me tell you that is 3months and 3 weeks too long!!! I had finally reaching my "breaking point" I was buying pull-ups for both grandparents, daycare, and of course home. Not to mention just ready for him to be big boy!

SO a few weeks ago I was in Twin Falls visiting my sister and we stopped at Barnes and Nobles SO I could try and find this Potty Training Boot camp book that a teacher at Kamrons day care was telling me about. As luck would have it they didn't have in the store only online. Well I bought a A book Called "Toilet Training in Less than a Day" and then Kamron's teacher brought me her printed E book of Potty Training Bootcamp (http://www.thepottybootcamp.com/buy-now.html). I used a couple theories out of the 1st and most everything out of the second. Really the principals were the same.

We started last Saturday And the 1st thing we did was take off his pull-up and had him trow away his pull-ups (I saved them I mean come on I am not going to toss 40$ worth of pull-ups out the door). Anyways I wish I would have had 3 days straight with him but I only took two. WE did nothing next weekend except potty Training. And Daycare actually did pretty good to help me out thanks to the teacher who lent me the book. It was nice because she knew what we had been doing!

We, Kamron, I, and Daycare, have definatley used the pull-ups as a crutch and I really needed to just get them out of my house!

Kamron Has done great he only had one real accident and pee'd the bed twice. The other couple of accidents were when he was in the process of running to the bathroom.

Yesterday was the 1st day we ran errands and He did great! No accidents at all and he was dry this morning! I am so proud!!!!! Oh and so relieved!

Isn't potty training the worst??? We just decided to stop using pullups completely too adn it has been a little rocky. My daughter is just so stubborn and knows that since it is what I want, she doesn't want to. But we are getting there!! Good luck to you!
